Tana Records Returns!

Tana Records is back!
And so am I.
Some of you may know I took a year and a half off from my lifelong career as a musician (and more recently as the grand high poobah of a record company, hahaha) to immerse myself in politics. It was an amazing, transformative experience, but I don't see repeating it - one of the innumerable lessons I learned is I don't actually want to ever work for a politician!

Truthfully, I don't actually want to ever work for anybody ever again - I'd like to work with people - I crave collaboration, as a matter of fact - but time on earth is short, and my days of hanging back in the rhythm section of life are OVER!

- 'cept of course when I FEEL like hangin' back in the rhythm section!

So join me as I get the website up and running, and help me explore new ways of joining in the creative flow towards planetary salvation.

Only One is back on sale (it's on the 5th printing, can you believe it?), along with several ways of getting it - buying directly from me (I'm going with PayPal; you can send me a check, too, if you'd prefer), downloading via iTunes in the US, EU/UK, Japan and Australia, or buying it from various outlets like CD Baby - whatever makes you feel comfortable! Buy this CD if you don't have it. It features an amazing time in my life in the presence of two master musicians at the top of their outrageous game, playing music no normal record company would ever allow! If you already have a copy, buy it for friends! I'm also (by popular demand) going to put up the Mysterious Quartet from Helsinki (MQFH) CD for sale as a downloadable item only, partly to satisfy popular demand, partly to begin working the idea of a virtual album. I may do the same with a John Jordan Trio (JJ3) recorded in Omaha just a couple of days after the awfulness of 9/11.

Meanwhile, I'm recording, forming a new band, writing blogs, oh, good lord, all this amazing stuff is here, at our fingertips! - let's see what we can DO with it!
